The Ford Trophy returns tomorrow as Northern Districts (ND) head to the capital for a clash with the Wellington Firebirds.

The competition resumes at the halfway point, with ND and Wellington level on points in fourth and third respectively and the Firebirds fresh off a successful Super Smash campaign.

ND will be able to call upon the services of a couple of BLACKCAPS, with BJ Watling and Neil Wagner in The Ford Trophy squad for the first time this season.

The pair will add much-needed experience to a group that has seen several players from the last Ford Trophy squad push on to the BLACKCAPS squad for the India T20i series.

Round six of the Ford Trophy begins Sunday, January 26, 11.00am at Basin Reserve, Wellington.
