Counties Manukau are the Northern Districts Senior Secondary Champion defeating Bella Holmes Northand by just 9 runs. Batting first Counties 185/10 Tyler Jerram  91 batted through 39 overs to anchor his team to a competitive score where wickets fell on  regular basis around him. Marcel Marconi 27 of 34 balls also dug in for his team. Northland 176/10  were so close at 174/7 Northland looked  on course for the Trophy with Liam  Wewege 30  and Sean West 31 set to take them home. Wewege caught of the bowling of Andrew Carny at 174/8 Counties had a sniff with strike fast bowler James  Naylor back in the attack had Sean West lbw 176/9 3 balls  later Naylor had number 11 Kurt  Oldridge  trapped in front for 0. A great finish to a great final.

Finalist found in the Northern Districts Senior Secondary Tournament - Gisborne Day 3 Bella Homes Northland dft BOP Coastlands by 46 runs. Northland were teetering at 121/9 a last wicket partnership of 46.

Quin Pooley 39no and A Gordon 20 off 23 got Northland to 169/10.  Coastlands were dismissed in 37.4 overs for 123/10 Marcel Collett 27, Daniel Price 35 the pick of the batsman. To a man all the Northland bowlers were tight and accurate backed up by a good fielding display.  At  the end of the day the last wicket for Northland proved to be the winning batting partnership in the match.

Counties Manukau will join Bella Holmes Northland in the 2 day Final after a  56 run win over Hamilton.

Tournament Update - Day 1:  T20, Monday December 11, 2017

Hamilton, BOP Coastlands and Counties Manukau were the unbeaten teams on day 1 of two T20 fixtures in the Northern Districts Senior Secondary Tournament in Gisborne yesterday.  Hamilton's Corey Townsend scored  103 not out coming off 66 balls hitting 13 4's and a six in the  best batting display of the day against the ND invitation team.  The top bowling performances came from Jarrod Mealings 4-1 Bop Coastands, Paul Stewart 4-5 Poverty Bay, Marcel Marconi 4-17, Counties Manukau.
