Published on 27 Oct 2016
Northern Districts will head to the Basin Reserve to face Wellington in Round Two of the Plunket Shield with the same squad of twelve that chased down Canterbury last weekend. Currently sitting at the top of the leaderboard and 1 point above their Wellington opponents, they will look to repeat the strong and steady performance that saw career-best figures from Scott Kuggeleijn (6/60) and a record 1st wicket opening partnership against Canterbury from Daniel Flynn and Dean Brownlie (174).
Captain Daniel Flynn is feeling good heading into this weekend's match saying "We are very happy with how we played last weekend and would like to carry on with some good, positive cricket. Wellington will be tough, especially at the Basin. As a group we feel that we are heading in the right direction with our game."
