Match Report McCaw Lewis Maori vs Kaipaki

The annual fixture between McCaw Lewis Northern Maori and Kaipaki played at Kaipaki Oval was a one sided affair.
Batting first Northern Maori scored 244 for 8 in their 40 overs the innings anchored by captain Leighton Parsons who scored a fine 103 off 87 balls with Danny Gibbs (35) they added 95 for the first wicket before Danny was unfortunately run out from a tip on from the bowler. There were also good contributions from Steven Rae (21) and Devante Waho (22).
Bowling for Kaipaki J Wylie took 3 for 16.
In reply Kaipaki only managed to score 59 and were dismissed in the 23rd over best bowling for the Northern Maori was Gary Muraahi with 4 for 20.
The McCaw Lewis Northern Maori playing programme has two fixtures to end their season the traditional match versus Waikato University at the University on the 28th of March and the final fixture is an inaugural fixture versus Central Districts Maori on the 7th of April at Seddon Park.
