ND FIGHT FOR FORD TROPHY FINAL
Published on 15 Feb 2018
Northern Districts will host the 3rd vs 4th Elimination Final at Cobham Oval tomorrow (Saturday 17 February, 11am). Wet weather at Napier's McLean Park brought a measure of disappointment for Northern Districts as the washout of Round 8 quashed their chance of making the 1v2 Semi-Final - in which the loser gets a second life by proceeding to the midweek Elimination Final (to meet the winner of the 3v4 Semi-Final).
So tomorrows final against 4th placed Canterbury is a must win for ND to keep their Ford Trophy campaign alive, a win will mean they will face the loser of the Central Districts vs Auckland match (being played at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth tomorrow), in another playoff for the finals next Wednesday.
