Northern Districts Name Anderson as Captain for Plunket Shield Pink Ball Match
Tomorrow's clash against the Central Stags will be a feature of firsts for the Northern Districts side, with Corey Anderson leading the team for the first time in first class cricket in the first ever Day/Night Plunket Shield match. Dean Brownlie and Ish Sodhi return to the side following their ODI duties for the BLACKCAPS. Anderson replaces the injured Daniel Flynn as Captain.
Flynn resumed last game after a troublesome hip injury in the hope that he could manage it through the rest of the season. It was not to be however with it progressively worsening throughout the match. He is now seeking other options for rehabilitation including possible surgery.
